Kyara Scott
My work is about walking with people through life’s biggest transitions—whether that’s navigating grief and anxiety, adjusting to motherhood, or finding strength in the middle of change.
Social work is where I started, and it continues to shape everything I do. It’s given me a trauma-informed lens that helps me see the whole person—their story, their community, and the systems that impact their lives. That perspective guides how I show up in therapy, creating safe spaces where people can lay their burdens down, and it also grounds the way I support families in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through Sankofa Doula & Family Services.
To me, therapy and doula care aren’t separate—they’re both about offering presence, advocacy, and compassion at times when people need it most. I believe healing should feel honest and human: sometimes tender, sometimes messy, and sometimes even full of laughter through the tears.
When you work with me, you’re not just another client—you’re seen, heard, and deeply valued. My hope is that you walk away from our time together feeling lighter, stronger, and more rooted in your own resilience.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me traveling, curled up with a book, laughing at a comedy show, trying a DIY project, or rearranging my home décor “just to see how it looks.”
